Rehabilitation for Persons Engaged in Begging

Atchayam Trust is committed to rehabilitating individuals engaged in begging and homeless individuals by providing shelter, healthcare and skill development programs to help them reintegrate into society. Our efforts focus on offering a secure and supportive environment, where individuals can regain their dignity and build a foundation for a stable future.

As part of our Rehabilitation initiatives, Atchayam Trust follows the guidelines of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment’s (MOSJE) sub-scheme SMILE (Support for Marginalized Individuals for Livelihood and Empowerment), which focuses on the Rehabilitation of persons engaged in begging. Through these guidelines, we ensure that our programs meet national standards for the Rehabilitation and social reintegration of individuals previously involved in begging.
