ECRC - Perundurai, Erode

The Emergency Care and Recovery Centre (ECRC) in Perundurai, Erode is a collaborative initiative by Atchayam Trust, the National Health Mission, the Institute of Mental Health, Chennai, and The Banyan, Chennai. Operational since February 2021, the center provides shelter and rehabilitation for wandering homeless individuals with mental illness.

ECRC offers rescue, psychiatric care and psychosocial support in a safe and structured environment. Once individuals achieve recovery and stability, the team facilitates family tracing and reintegration, helping them return to their communities with dignity and support.
